NATIONAL HOTEL - 1921

Fire struck Washington's National Hotel in 1921, killing two people. The hotel at Pennsylvania Avenue and Sixth Street Northwest, had a checkered past. In 1857, a mysterious disease struck the hotel, sickening hundreds, some fatally.
